Kimi's charge card

So according to my secret sources Ferrari will announce that they will have to replace Kimi's engine before the Malaysian Grand Prix. So we will likely see Kimi charging from the back, something we know all too well that he's very good at doing. Lets not be surprised if this is an opportunity for Massa to win while the McLaren is still bedding down. Also don't be surprised to see Kimi doing a place or two better at the charging than Massa did.

Comments:
Well, we can normally assume that if there is the slightest problem, which there is, then the engine will need changing. This things seem to work at such a high capacity that the slightest glitch could blow them up. However, I don't understand why they're waiting so long either to do it or announce that they've done it.

The question really is this though: was it Kimi's fault? McLaren said he was very hard on their cars, and that he broke them as much as they broke themselves. Is this what we're seeing the start of?

Also, to be fair on Massa, it was the first race of the season and Australia is very hard to overtake on.

Oh yeah, I don't want to be too hard on Massa either.

Apparently, the thing that's broken is outside of the engine so the original thought was that they could simply replace that and it wouldn't cause the engine penalty. Further tests have revealed that the engine may have been stressed by the amount of time that the engine was running without the cooling part working properly. I think it is because of the two stageness of the problem that it has been difficult to work out what to do.
