Hakkinen to McLaren
This may be one of the craziest stories of the winter season, or it may be the most prophetic. Somehow it doesn't seem possible, but then something about it rings true: a steady, old hand to guide McLaren through their troubles whilst Alonso gets the hang of things. But, does Alonso really need that? If anything, he may be quite angry at the idea that he needs help from someone.
In other news, the civil war is over. The car manufacturers and the FIA have shaken hands. Did anyone ever really believe the war wasn't anything other than a bargaining tool anyway?

He has to be pushed by the new guy. He's also already ready to impart wisdom. As far as I'm concerned they're crazy if they don't put Lewis Hamilton into that seat. It can only help Alonso and prepare Hamilton.
And on the Hakkinen story front I think the craziest story is that Renault and McLaren considered swapping Kimi and Alonso around the time of the German Grand Prix. Although from the way I read it this seems to have been a McLaren dream rather than anything Renault would have ever considered. In essance the plan was completely crazy.
